a new group education programme

In my own self-healing journey, I have found that the most profound experiences of self-discovery and healing have always occurred in community, not alone. Whilst we can do much to change unsupportive habits and patterns on our own, we often make surprising leaps forward and build momentum when we are accompanied by friends who share our aspirations and curiosity.

To that end, I have opened the doors to my new online group learning programme. This will focus on offering you the opportunity to deepen your understanding of yourself and how to find balance within your inner and outer ecosystems. I look forward to helping you re-imagine how to be and live in the world with authenticity and ease.

How can we feel safe in the world, and what is getting in our way of simply being ourselves, relaxed and free from protective patterns and defences?

Over the years of working with patients, I have come to understand that so many of us are caught up in automated protective patterns and programmes—somewhat like scaffolding erected around ourselves—and driving these programmes are unconscious beliefs about ourselves and the wider world. Our symptoms of dis-ease are usually a clue, a somatic breadcrumb trail to help us understand these beliefs and the intelligent body response we developed over the years to keep us safe.

This programme will help you lay down a foundation of safety and then explore this complex architecture so you can begin to see yourself as you really are. This is a paradigm shift which is based first in understanding and then in metabolising the outworn stories and distortions and seeing correctly. I’ve compiled the key understandings into a new framework which I hope will serve as a map for your healing journey.

This course offers a distillation of what I explore with my one on one patients with the advantage of more time and educational content to deepen the exploration and to metabolise your learning within the wider support of the group of likeminded souls you’ll be on this journey with.

    6 x one hour weekly live Zoom meetings. All meetings will be recorded and will be accessible online for future viewing for one year.

  • Level One: Building the Foundation

    This is classic functional medicine at its best, addressing all the ways you can support and create safety for your physical body:

    1. Food, Nutrition and the Microbiome


    2. Physical surrounds: Nature, Air quality, and the nuances to creating a nourishing surrounding environment to soothe rather than stress your system.


    3. Movement and Exercise


    4. Sleep and Rest


  • Level Two: Self-Regulation

    How your body-mind, through the intelligence of your nervous system, falls into habitual patterns of protection and how you can help to settle back into a restful state:

    1. Breath and Pranayama practices


    2. HeartMath and other heart focused modalities


    3. Vagal nerve toning exercises


  • Level Three: Self Awareness and Body Awareness

    An exploration of your own unique protective patterns, and what core beliefs they reveal. You will also learn how to engage with your body with conscious awareness:

    1. Tuning in to your body state


    2. Recognising patterns through the day and understanding your nervous system’s intelligent response to the environment


    3. Shifting the relationship between you and your body through embodiment practices


  • Level Four: Re-Sourcing and Finding Safety Within

    A deep dive into some of the ways you can find your way to Basic Trust - in yourself and the world around you. We will discover that safety and trust can be established from within, and that we can release the need to find it in our external environment. This ultimately allows us complete freedom to explore and live our lives without fear.

    Establishing safety and trust from the inside out is the ultimate pathway to self-empowerment.

    1. Meditation—building on what we will have developed over the preceding weeks


    2. Self-inquiry and following the breadcrumb trail that your body-mind has laid out for you to follow


    3. True nature—what is it and how can you deeply rest in Self?


  • Pulling it all together

    A summary, a broader understanding of the whole, and how to formulate a way forward to a more bold and luminous future

  • In an emerging science and led by Stephen Porges’ work on the Polyvagal Theory and neuroception, we are beginning to understand that, as a tribal species, finding safety and support within community is multilayered and the ways in which we sense and receive support from each other can be subtle and profound.

    The group format in which this programme is presented will serve as a beautiful container within which we can support each other’s learning and processing. We will explore some of the possibilities to expand our healing potential in community with likeminded people on a shared journey.
